Who are we?

Oliver Murray.jpg

Oliver Murray (Disciple)

Oliver Murray is an award-winning filmmaker and storyteller living on the edge of the North Yorkshire moors with his wife and two small children. Having grown up without religious belief, he now follows the Logos, Jesus Christ, and is drawn to how, through parables, Christ opened a space for narrative to address the deepest questions of being — incarnating a path for men and women navigating a troubled and chaotic world. Oliver is captivated by the little-known mystical narratives of the early medieval period — a world of saints, miracles, and symbol.

His work seeks to contribute to the recovery of meaning in a post-modern age that has lost touch with the fullness of reality. In 2023, he produced and directed Cuthbert, an award-winning short film on Saint Cuthbert.

Ryan Seeley (Disciple)

Ryan Seeley_edited_edited.jpg

Ryan Seeley is a craftsman, and a traditional English family man living on the edge of Sherwood Forest with his wife and three children. Raised without religious belief, an existential crisis in his twenties set him on a search for meaning that led through various spiritual and philosophical paths — until he encountered the Logos, Jesus Christ.

Ryan is drawn to pattern and story, and to how myth and fairy tale might point beyond themselves — offering a bridge between the modern secular world and the Christian vision of reality. Through Disciples of the Divine Logos, he hopes to contribute to a renewed sense of meaning in the world.

Witt_edited.jpg

Witt Womack (Disciple)

Witt Womack is a Texan living in the Yorkshire Dales.  His love of Old English Literature and the Saints has only grown since his first encounters with Anglo-Saxon poetry and the writings of Bede in boyhood.  He holds a Master of Arts in Medieval Studies and counts Boethius and King Alfred as beloved ghostly friends in God.

God made him, God sustains him, and without God he is nothing.  Pray, reader, he may stop forgetting this!
